Inspiration at the Coast
I’m lucky enough to have an awesome husband who talked me into getting a small summer rental at the coast, in Southport, NC. Being landlocked for most of the year having grown up a Long Island girl is tough for me. We spend the week as landlubbers and every weekend head out to our spot. I’ve slowly been exploring the shops in town and finding lots of inspiration. My skin is brown, my Mom game is on point and I’m feeling pretty awesome. My creativity always seems to soar during these times in life. I’ve been so inspired by the amazing artists in town, the little consignment and resale shops and all of the people wanting to share their stories. I hope to post about this little town a lot over the coming weeks. For today, I want to share some images that have inspired some ideas for projects.
Boys Bedroom Re-Design Pt. 1
Black, White & Green Patio
Recently my friend mentioned she would love some help putting together her patio. Her house is quickly becoming the go to hangout for us so I emphatically agreed. I literally had a dream about her patio. I mean, it was no Martin Luther King ground breaking dream stuff, but it stuck with me. It was all black, white, kelly green and natural wood.
Navy Blue Powder Room
Navy blue walls can be intimidating to some when you are considering a small room because dark colors can make a small room feel even smaller. A simple solution is adding a gallery wall with art surrounded by large white mattes. Using various sized frames and art can help move the eye around by giving more visual interest.
